A sweet gift for coming back today!
More levels coming soon!
Candy Rotate is a calm, clever untangle puzzle made of sweets. Every board is a chain of glossy, striped candy rings, each one shaped like the letter C, joined to its neighbours by little porcelain clips. In the middle sits a candy that never moves: a toffee, a gumball, a lollipop, a donut and more. Your job is to set every ring free. A ring slips off the board the moment none of its clips can hold it, and a clip lets go as soon as the gap of either ring it joins turns to face it. Clear every ring and the level is done. It plays in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, with nothing to download.
Phone and tablet: put your finger on a ring and drag it round the ring's centre, like turning a dial. The ring clicks into place every fifteen degrees when you let go. Computer: do the same with the mouse. Use the mouse wheel or a pinch to zoom on the bigger boards, and drag an empty spot to move the board around. The keyboard has shortcuts too: U to undo, R to restart and H for a hint.
Each release that changes a ring's angle counts as one move. Think before you turn: a ring that is held by two clips has to have both of them opened, either by its own gap or by the gap of the ring on the other side. Often the trick is to free the outer rings first, so the inner ones have fewer clips left to worry about.
Finish a level in the fewest moves to earn three stars; the move target is shown at the top of the screen. You still win with more moves, just with fewer stars. Clearing a level gives coins, and there is a free gift of coins every day. Your first three hints are free, after that a hint costs twenty coins. A hint lights up the ring to turn next and shows a see-through copy of it turned the right way, worked out by the same solver the original app uses. Undo is always free, so experiment as much as you like. Zen mode in the settings hides the move counter for relaxed play.
The levels grow slowly: level one has a single ring, and level one hundred has a hundred of them. They follow a candy-cane road through ten worlds, from Bubblegum Meadow and Lollipop Forest to Chocolate River, Ice-Cream Glacier, Jelly Ocean, Caramel Volcano and finally Toffee Castle, with a bigger boss toffee at every tenth level. A new level opens as soon as you clear the one before it, and your stars, coins and progress are saved in your browser.
Look for rings that are held by only one clip: one turn is enough to drop them, and dropping a ring opens every clip it had, which can free its neighbours in the same move. Turning a ring so its gap faces a clip that already lets go is a wasted move. On the big boards, zoom in on one corner at a time and work your way towards the candy in the middle. If you get stuck, undo a few moves rather than restarting; the hint always works from the position you are in.
